Ali MacGraw, also known as Elizabeth Alice MacGraw, is an American designer and author who has been awarded numerous prizes for her work. She has been a vocal advocate for human rights for animals. The actress is famous for movies such as Love Story (1970) Goodbye Columbus (1969) as well as The Getaway (1972). The daughter of a family of artists in New York she wished to work in the field of arts. While working as an assistant to photographers She turned her focus towards modeling and acting. In her first two films, she was recognized as a winner of her the Golden Globe Award as Most Promising Young Actress. MacGraw's movie Love Story proved a major hit and fetched her worldwide notoriety, along with an Academy Award' nomination and the Golden Globe award. In just three films, she became the top female box office star worldwide. Her footprints, handwritten in 1972 and signatures were recorded at the Grauman's Chinese Theater. In addition, she was a part of The Getaway Convoy Players TV Miniseries The Winds of War, as well as other movies. Her autobiography Moving Pictures was published in 1991. MacGraw has been married three times.
