Tina and Amanda

Tina Louise (born Tina Louise) is an American writer, performer and actor most famous for her role as Ginger Grant in Gilligan's Island. The Bettle's Two's Company musical was the first stage production in which she appeared during her stage debut. She then acted in several Broadway productions before she became a star on national stage with Li'l Abner in 1957. The same year, she released her first music album called This is Tina Time. Her debut appearance in Hollywood was when she played Griselda on God's Little Acre, a 1958 drama. The film received widespread applause. Louise won the Golden Globe Award under the New Star of the year category. In this time she was a student at the Actors Studio of New York. Lee Strasberg was her instructor. Another notable character she played as Ginger Grant, which CBS signed her up to play in the year 1964. Louise was able to balance her acting career successfully between Broadway television and Hollywood acting in somber roles opposed to her image as being a glamorous doll.
